Add A Printer Wizard

    Hi,

    Im running a sony vaio laptop on vista ultimate. Every time i click on "Add a printer" under network, nothing pops up. I looked under "Hardware and Sound" and there is no printer folder. Can someone please me help?

    This is a networked printer, as in, it has a network jack builtin?

    That being the case, the network search option has a reputation for NOT finding such printers.

    You will have to add it manually.

    You will need the IP address of your printer.

    You will have to add a TCP/IP port with that IP address first. Then, when you have the port configured, you can add the printer using that port. You will also have to locate printer drivers in order to do this.
