I had some spysweeper remove some files and my windows media player won't
open neither will any of my other .wmv files. How can I reinstall or get the
media player to work? There's no uninstall or repair feature on the remove
programs.

Can you use System Restore?

Unfortunately no, I tried it multiple times and it looks like it wiped it
somehow. It gets to the finalization and freezes.

If System Restore is also non-functional, that is indicating a more severe
failure. This is looking like a Windows reinstall would probably be more
relevant to your interests. =\

How far back in the ONE ALLOWABLE month that Vista posts in system restore
should you go before you run out of restore points....should I go to the
furtherest date or a closer date to today? I have never done a system
restore and am confused..Help

I don't understand your question as an extension of Batman's question. I
would go to a nearer point first to see if that one addresses the issue you
are trying to solve.

Hi! Windows Media Player 11 no working in Windows Vista because Windows
Vista have another new media player.
But your computer was Windows XP and you change for Windows Vista, the WMP
11 working. This my case.
Try the new media player of Windows Vista.
