Windows Mail

Hi,

Would it be possible for some kind person to give advice on this
question from my wife.

When reading an email using Windows Mail,if the text in the body of that
email contains an email address,is it possible to double click on that
address and have Windows Mail open automatically with a blank reply page
?
This operation used to work OK with XP & OE however using Vista &
Windows Mail it only pops up a message stating that the program is not
associated.

Clicking on an email address in a web page using IE8 works fine, it
opens up a Windows Mail reply page.

It isn't possible to have a mail account without a username and =
password.
Who is your provider (the part after the @ symbol)? Give them a call.

My provider is comcast, and has been for several years. The question is why
would this window appear now?

Are your friend's emails in RichText/HTML format?

Is "Read all messages in plain-text" enabled?

If it downloads the same emails over again, that means it wasn't allowed
to finish the job last time. The other possibility is a 'stuck' email on =
the server.
I suggest you go to webmail and prune the Inbox there so it holds only =
the=20
messages you want to download into Windows Mail. Move everything else
into webmail folders other than Inbox.

Windows Mail can automatically duplicate a filing system only for IMAP
accounts. For POP accounts you have to do the job yourself, although
you can set up message rules to redirect incoming emails into specific=20
mail folders.
