When are Microsoft going to fix the annoying problem that even if a file
association, for say .doc or .xls, is set correctly, and the application is
correctly installed; Windows Mail will not recognise the association for an
attachment, and the attachment has to be saved - then the association works?
Most frustrating!

Please do a search in this newsgroup and find a thread authored by Jill and
Ellias. Title of thread is "Can't open *.doc attachments"
The method used to fix this problem is listed there.

Your'e one step ahead of me because I can't set association folders either.
Urgh humbug!
Absolutely frustrating!
