5. Go back into Device Manager, expand the Display Adapters section again and then right click on the device and select Update Driver.
6. This time select Browse My Computer for Driver and then Let me pick it from a list.
7. Go the the Intel section and select the Intel® Lakeport Graphics Controller.
8. Hit OK and install the new driver. Restart your computer.
9. Once you have rebooted, right click on your desktop and select Personalize again.
10. Click on Windows Colors and Appearance.
11. Click on Open classic appearance properties for more color options.
12. In the Color Scheme box, select Windows Vista Aero.
13. Hit OK and glass will now load.

__________________________________________________ ____
Once you import it, restart Windows Live Messenger and under Options you will have a new list item for Add-ins.

Create a Shortcut for Flip 3D

1. Right click on your desktop and select New and then Shortcut.
2. Copy and paste RunDll32 DwmApi #105 into the location box and hit Next.

When maximizing a window in aero, the windows theme turns dark. You can change that so it stays 'seethrough' all the time... so no changing taskbar colour when u maximize. heres a link to the vid and the discription provides u with the tools to do it.

---

The good thing about this theme is that its not an add-on program for the theme, it mods a new .msstyle... so its just as quick.!

Enjoy!

I just completed mostof these tweaks and my control panel won't open properly anymore. When I open the Control Panel from the Start Menu or from the Computer icon on the Desktop, I see a Windows Explorer tab on my taskbar, but that disappears within a few seconds.

Any ideas before I start reversing the tweaks one by one to find out what happened?

btw--my laptop is MUCH faster now that I've done the tweaks. The only one I could not do was the speed-tweak.zipdownload (the file wasn't there anymore).

thanks,

Chris

Well, I seem to have figured it out. I thinkI got a little trigger happy in the services.msc window, disabling things I shouldn't have just to see how fast the computer would get. I had to reverse everything I did yesterday, and then redo things one by one, now I have it all working perfectly.

I think you should add here that as you have said on the page the link takes you to, it's still in trial phase, until it is tested and verified and there is more detail as to what it does I am sure you will understand if I advise members against trying it at the moment.
