Vista doc scanning very slow

Hi All, recently bought new computer with vista and find scanning in
documents very laborious with paint or photo album. Is there any
equivalent to windows xp's scanner wizard or other downloadable
software? Would be grateful for any suggestions.

What is the make and model of your scanner?
and
32 bit or 64 bit Vista?

You might try VueScan. It has a downloadable trial.
Depending on the scanner, (and scanner driver) it can do a decent job on
multipage documents.
The "full up" version of vuescan also has "calibration" functions that allow
you to "calibrate" scanner and printer color behavior.

I was just wandering if I started wfs from the run commands and then
tried to set up a short cut on desktop if that would work. At least
iwould avoid loading paint or photo album. What are your thoughts on
this?
