Looks like your mail account is hybrid in that it uses mail.intelauto.com
for receiving, and mail.sbcglobal.net for sending. Is AT&T (formerly SBC)
your ISP? If so, you should be using the new SMTP settings:

Don't change any of the settings for the incoming mail server.

Hi Gary,

I have had no problems with sending email via Vista's Windows Mail until
three days ago. Comcast is my ISP and they walked me through all of my
settings and confirmed that they are all correct and cannot explain why I am
no longer able to send email. I do not get any error messages. The emails
just sit in the Outgoing box - for ever. Comcast also had me turn off
McAfee entirely - and adjust my Windows security settings - just to be sure
either of those were not responsible. Do you have any suggestions for me?

One thing you might try is to uninstall McAfee. Merely disabling it
is insufficient to keep it from interfering with Windows Mail.

Those messages that are piled up in the Outbox, are you able to
move them to the Drafts folder? Move as many as you can, and
delete the rest. If any will not move or delete, use the Microsoft fix:
