sDoes anyone know how to reslove this errror. I am using Windows Mail to
access an IMAP email account and each time I attempt to delete the contents
of a folder in Windows Mail I get this proctocal violation error.

Look under Tools, Options, Advanced and see if you have the box checked that
says "Use Deleted Items Folder with IMAP Mail"?

Sorry, had to go look up other locations. Check Tools, Options, Advanced,
Maintenance and see if the boxes are checked for purging IMAP messages when
leaving folders or emptying Deleted Items folder upon exit. Try tweaking the
three settings and see if there's any effect.

Thanks Qfreed: I tried all that you recommend without any success. I
eventually deleted the account and then add it back using POP3 instead of
IMAP and tweak a few settings and all appears to be working a OK. Thanks for
pointing me in the right direction.
