Printer Not Turning On

I have a hp deskjet 845c.
When I right click on a web page and select print the printer turns on and
prints.
But, when I try to print a document in Wordpad it doesn't turn on.
Is there a setyting somewhere to have th printer tunr on. The software that
came
with the printer isn't installed 'cause it's just a waste when Vista has
drivers for it.

I would use the HP software that came with your printer, plus you will have
more tools you can use to make it easier for you. Good Luck.
