pdf attachments

I have recently changed from XP to Vista and now have Windows Mail. I
cannot open pdf attachments. My husband can open them on his Yahoo Mail
account on the same machine. can anyone help please?

Does the problem exist only only PDFs?

Did you check if opening other types of files too?

Do you have IE8 installed?

Which tool are you using for reading PDFs?
If it's just the PDF-problem (and not the common IE8-WinMail bug) and
Adobe Reader:
run a *repair* (from the reader's Help menu).
