I have been looking for a LaserJet 1012 driver for Vista. Dave in this
NG pointed me to a HP web site
(http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...&swEnvOID=2093)
which had the file lj1010servershb-vista32.zip which I downloaded. I
unzipped this file and obtained about 27 .cab files, a .cat file and a
..inf file. All but one of the .cab files were small (about 280 bytes).
One .cab file was about 7.2Mb so I opened that one. It has 32 files
none of which looks as if it could install the HP 1012 LaserJet driver
to my Vista.

Can anyone tell me how to fully open lj1010servershb-vista32.zip so
that I can install the printer driver to my Vista?

Many thanks,

Peter.

Since there is no setup.exe file, unpack the files to a folder in your user
profile (or the Public file). Then go to Control Panel>Printers and start
the Add Printer wizard. Point the wizard to the unpacked folder where it
will find the .inf file.
