Now playing useless

In WMP10 you could play a track from the library songs list and then move
back and forward around the list. To get back to the now playing track all
you had to do was select the Now Playing tab and then re-select Library and
there was the now playing track in focus. Great facility.
It doesn't work that way in WMP11. It goes back to the start of the list.
You can only get back to a single album view of the now playing track, pretty
useless I find.

Is it me or have MS left out an extremely useful facility
