music's sound volume unstable

I wonder if anyone is experiencing this when listening to MP3s in Vista
Ultimate's mediaplayer. It's as if the enhancement features like WOW or
cross-fading are turned on, when they aren't, and the overall sound is quite
annoying. I often use headphones so I can really hear the loudness changes.

BWN - did you ever find a solution to this? My WMP11 in Vista is fluctuating
the volume and I haven't a clue.
