moving my mail messages from outlook 2003 to outlook2007

Can anybody help me to move my mail messages from my old laptop (windows xp)
to my new laptop outlook 2007 running on vista?
i exported the file from the 2003 outlook to .pst file on external media
,then when i tried to to import it to the 2007 outlook running with vista i
got stuck as it does not work?

That should work, although I've seen users say to just copy the .pst file
over, and to open it, don't import it.
Are you getting an error message?

Similar problem...except I'm less savvy than the original poster.

Where would I find the .pst file? I was using Outlook in WinXP.

I'm not sure where it's located... I'm not using Outlook on XP now.
Just search for ".pst" on the XP computer.
