I just bought a new laptop with Vista, and would like to hook up my
older Lexmark X125 All-In-One (scan, print, copy, fax) peripheral.
Vista does not include specific drivers for this model, and Lexmark
provides drivers only for 2000 and XP. Is there a way to support
this
on Vista?

-Can I install in compatibility mode? How? (I don't know much
about compatibility mode - do I use it during installation? setup?
operation? Is it likely to work?)

-Is it possible that some other Vista generic driver would work, at
least for printing? Like a PS or PCL driver? How do I do that?

-Possible third-party driver?

If your new notebook has 32 bit Vista, try installing using the XP drivers.
You probably will not have scanning capability, but you might get print, fax
and copy.
