The fan was replaced on a dell 1525. The person did not take ElectroStatic Discharge precautions and did the work on carpet. Now the 2gb ram installed is being recognized. You pretty much have to take the entire computer apart to get to the fan. How do I know if ESD is the problem and what can be done to test or fix the problem? So far the only issue is the RAM is not being recognized.
