MSConfig had nothing out of the ordinary.
I did find the references to the drivers in the registry.
Deleted the entries and I don't get the error anymore.
Thanks,
James
If the event Viewer show 'failed to load' it might tend to indicate =
that the=20
driver / service was removed but the associated registry entires for=20
'startup' were not removed.
You might want to check in msconfige and see if anything relevent =
shows,=20
before you move on to the registry
I've noticed other products that I have uninstalled, escpecially =
Anti-Virus=20
software,
leave drivers and they seem to try to load at start-up or Vista =
somehow=20
thinks the driver is still there.
I needed to 'Show hidden drivers' to find and uninstall them.
I don't care to do that but as long I am sure what the driver is I =
guess I'm=20
ok.
James
But then perhaps it didnt completely uninstall.
I used to have pctools software on my system, but not anymore.
Thanks for the info,
James
PC Tools Threatfire, maybe
Vista Basic 32bit sp2
I found the following error in Event Viewer 'Administrative Events':
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
TfFsMon
TfSysMon
The source is:
'Service Control Manager Eventlog Provider'
Can anyone tell me what this is??
I've googled it and didn't fine a satisfactory answer.
Thanks,
James=20
