Yesterday, after not making any changes to my Microsoft Mail program, I
experienced disappearing email messages. All of my emals that have been read
are gone from my inbox!! The unread message, when read, disappear as well
when I go from folder to folder. They are nowhere to be found. Can someone
help? Is there something I can do to fix this???

View menu>deselect 'hide read messages'.
Select 'show all messages'

So far, I haven't had any emails disappear but I have had files
disappear from my document folder.

Vista doesn't have a My Documents folder. And if it did, what would that
have to do with Windows Mail?

This fixed the problem. The question I now have is how did Vista switch the
option to hide on its own. I has worked correctly for many months and
suddenly the read emails started disappearing.

I don't believe WinMail or Vista did it on its own. Either you did it by
accident or some third-party program you have did it.
