copy dvd to computer

-other question similar but didn't answer for me- I have 'DVD maker' and
'windows movie maker' software-salesman said could put home movies onto
computer- but so far can only watch the dvd- can't figure out how to copy
onto the computer-is it possible?

Same way as copying any file onto your computer, drag and drop the files.
Of course, if the movie is a hollywood one it'll be copy protected and you
need to work out which files are which on a dvd. The movie files are .VOB
