Hi everyone.

I just configured Windows Mail, and added an account for my university mail.
I have no permissions over their folders, and I only have access to their
Inbox. Now, I wanted to authomatically filter all spam/phising mail that is
sent to that IMAP account, can anyone help me with this?

It could sound like an easy task, I activated the Tools -> Junk E-mail
options and all that, but nothing gets filtered.

Can anyone please help me?
Mykas0

Windows Mail rules just apply to POP3 accounts. Rules for IMAP mail have to
be set up at the server.

So, basically, there's nothing I can do to filter the spam that this account
gets?

Frank, does that include the junk e-mail filter as well as custom message rules?

Darn if I know, but I would think so.

Well Frank, then someone really screwed up. Rules used to apply to both POP
and IMAP accounts in OE. They also apply in Thunderbird. I was
contemplating switching to WM just recently as Thunderbird seems to have a
problem sending on my IMAP account but if I can't filter incoming IMAP email
into folders based on rules then it's worthless.

So for now I stay with Thunderbird. First Vista and now this? I run Ubuntu
Linux on my other machine and it works great.

Mykas0 - suggest you check out (free) Thunderbird. You can do what you want
to do with it.

OE rules cannot be automatically applied to IMAP mail.
