Hi, I read all the threads and checked out the article 149 to change the
regedit.exe so that .pps attachments can be opened directly in Windows mail.

The problem is that there is no \shell\show to change. After \shell 'open'
is already there. Open has a sub folder with command in it.

Do they mean to change the word show which is under the heading Data in the
right side of the regedit window. I tried changing that word but no luck.

And I could not find how to set associations control panel. Any help would
be appreciated.

I have no idea what article you are referring to.

Do you have Power Point or Power Point Reader? What version?

Evidently you are referring to the article at
http://www.winhelponline.com/articles/149/1/
In the future, it is best to respond in the same thread as what
your comment is about. That way we can understand the
background of your issue better.

The registry key in question will not be present if you don't
have the PowerPoint Viewer program installed. I don't have
the Viewer installed because I have PowerPoint itself; you
are probably in the same boat. Before you make any changes
to the registry, try the other fixes first. You can get to the file
associations by opening the Default Programs applet.

If you need more help, describe your issue more fully.
