The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Exchange Points', Account:
'Morning Star', Server: 'mail.c-zone.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Please advise.

Unless you are using Netscape the servers should be:

SMTP (outgoing) Mail Server: smtp.c-zone.net
POP3 (incoming) Mail Server: pop.c-zone.net

Hello:

My email settings are exactly as they have been for years, only now, I can't
send emails.
SMTP: mail.c-zone.net
POP3: mail.c-zone.net

I made the changes as suggested and received the following error message:

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Exchange Points', Account:
'Morning Star', Server: 'smtp.c-zone.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 587,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Your courtesy and assistance is appreciated.

I continued to try your suggestions with my initial email address you
responded about and received the following message:
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Exchange Points',
Account: 'Richard Beloit', Server: 'mail.c-zone.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port:
25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

By the way, the 3rd posting is also from Jan aka eagle13.

Eagle13, why did you use port 587 instead of the default port 25?
I don't see any evidence that your mail server supports ports other than
the default ports: http://www.c-zone.net/settings.php

Wrong server name. It should be smtp.c-zone.net, as "slk759"
already advised you.
