Any error message when you try sending? If so, right-click on it,
copy, then paste it into a reply here.

The meThe message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was ''. Subject 'test',
Account: 'mail.virgin.net', Server: 'mail.virgin.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server
Response: '550 RCPT TO:<> Relaying not allowed -
please use SMTP AUTH', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error
Number: 0x800CCC79ssage is stored in my outbox then when I try to sync this
message appears in a pop up box.

Are you using a connection that uses any other internet provider's
equipment before it reaches virgin.net's equipment? If so, connections
to port 25 are often blocked to cause trouble for spammers.

You might also try turning off SSL in your email account under Windows
Mail - it sometimes helps.

So did you try turning on SMTP AUTH as the error message recommends?
To do so: Tools, Accounts, select the mail.virgin.net account, Properties,
Servers, check the box for "My server requires authentication."
