Can't receive incoming mail

Can anyone help me? I can send email but I can't receive. I get the
following error:

Account: 'pophm.sympatico.ca', Server: 'pophm.sympatico.ca', Protocol:
POP3, Server Response: '-ERR command not implemented', Port: 995,
Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

Go to Tools, Accounts, select the account, Properties, Servers,
make sure the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authentication"
is not checked.

I cannot receive email. My wife and I both sign on as different useres on
the computer, my email is all set up and I can send email but not receive
email?? already tried checking and unchecking the "Log on using Secure
Password Authentication". Please help??
