we are trying to make dvds using the windows dvd maker and when we choose
16:9 ratio only the dvd menu comes up in wide screen. The movie itself comes
up in 4:3 ratio... how can we make the movie itself come up in 16:9 ratio
too? Sorry if this question has been asked a million times, thank you for
your help.

This problem is discussed at length here:
'Windows DVD Maker - aspect ratio problems'

For me, the Moviemaker solution did not work. I found that by changing
the video setting in my DVD player to 4:3 LB, it suddenly worked. What
had been cropped 4:3 videos were now 16:9.

I was working with transferring 16:9 WMV files to DVD. The result was
a disk that played the menu in 16:9 but not the videos. Now it works!

Hope this helps.
