When you start typing a name in the address line on windows mail a number of
addressess appear in the popup menu as choices with the same inital letter.
Some of these names are not in my windows contacts but are from e-mails I
sent previously. I cannot figure out how to delete them. I have done
searches and can't find any messages left that have those e-mails.

If anyone can help me with this I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks a million

Scott

The auto-complete in WM doesn't work very well. And when it works, it only
remembers the last 29 entries.
If you keep using it, those old ones should fall off.

The addresses in the popup are from the last 29 addresses you
sent email to. The easiest way to delete them is to send email to
29 other addresses - hopefully your contacts have that many.

I have noticed a "set preferred" box in the Contacts. Once you click on the
name of the person you want to email, click set preferred and that's the only
email that will appear when typing in an address. My problem is to get an
email address to actually appear in the Send box when I start typing it in.
