When my laptop is brought back from sleep and I click on an icon on the
taskbar, the taskbar doubles in size and I have to re-adjust the size before
I do anything else.
Has anyone found a fix for this?

Hello lackey,
What method did you use to re-adjust the size ? Did you use " Adjust
font size (DPI) " option ?

No. I use the mouse to drag it back to position. The font size (DPI) is
currently set at Default 96 dpi.

Are you using the "Lock taskbar" option?

Hello lackey,
Without much to go on, I could only suggest :
1. Go back to adjust font size option, click Custon DPI, make
adjustments on the scale, or check/ uncheck "Use Windows XP style DPI"
box.
2. All else fails, system restore.
PS. You don't have SP1, do you ? If you do, I don't know how to help
you.

I have this same problem on two different computers with Vista. One is a
Dell desktop and one is a Dell laptop. I keep my taskbar on the right side
of the screen, which I understand is rare, but this is very annoying. It
doesn't matter whether the taskbar is locked or not -- it happens either way.
It has been happening since the computers were new, so it's not a result of
anything I did (other than moving the taskbar to the right edge -- which is
great, by the way -- everyone should try it).
