I rally do not know much about windows computers at all so I could really use some help!! I just put Vista on my Windows XP and now my existing drivers will not work at all!!! How can I fix this??? If someone could please help me out with this that would be so great!!!

XP drivers don't work in Vista; you need Vista drivers. How did you install Vista -- was it an upgrade to your XP installation? If so, it should have searched for and found the Vista drivers automatically. Also, you need to tell us which drivers are not working.

I tried to have it update the drivers and nothing happened.

the drivers are
HL-DT-ST DVD ROM GDR8163B ATA
&
SAMSUNG CD R/RW SW-252S ATA

If you're not going to answer our questions, we can't help you.

Once again -- how did you upgrade to Vista? Did you do it yourself? Was in an in-place upgrade on top of XP? Or did you do a clean install to a formatted drive?

BTW, as best I know, these devices come on a Dell Optiplex gx270. You shouldn't attempt any upgrades to a Dell machine without first contacting Dell and getting the appropriate drivers. I'm guessing you didn't do that. Right?
