| | Hello everyone, I just bought my first new laptop which came with Windows Vista, 32-bit. So far I enjoy the new layout, but I don't see any advantages right off the bat compared to Windows XP. I have disabled UAC, and deleted all of the dialup offer software so far, those are my only "mods" !!
just purchased Compaq V6000T, learning about Vista!

| Welcome  . You will notice the speed after about a week or so, gets alot faster. Also memory management is alot better than any of MS previous os. Enjoy and welcome to the boards.

I don't see any advantages right off the bat compared to Windows XP. Hi there, stick around and you will Vista does have some undeniable advantages over XP.
