I've tried to move the messages into another folder. They won't move and I

Did you run the downloaded file? Did it give a message like
"Not applicable for your system"?
When all else fails, the remaining remedy is to upgrade to Windows
Live Mail: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

Did you try installing the 32-bit version of the hotfix, and if that refused
to install, the 64-bit version also? The Vista SP1 update includes this
hotfix and more, but takes longer to install. If all three refuse to
install,
try the WORKAROUND section of:
