trying to play a network game of FM07. it worked fine on my old xp laptop but my new one wont let my friend connect (via internet).

i have turned off the windows firewall, and that does not help.

i do have mcafee on this one too but i have turned that off.

will it be different ports to forward? (surely not)

is mcafee causing the probs and not vista?

is it another issue altogether?

I think before going deeper into the problem it would help to get rid of Mcafee it is known for it's quirkiness, also it would help to know how you are connecting, do you use a router\modem because that can make a difference.

So I suggest turning off Mcafee and if you can post as much of your system spec as you can we might get closer to a solution.

Also you have to tell us the build of your vista so we can help. If you have beta then it is a whole different matter.
