| Hi,
one of my games..conquest frontier wars has no sound, however it does play sound in the intro videos, i've installed indeo 5 because i remember years a go the game required indeo 4 for some video to work but that didn't work. Ive also tried compatibly mode. are there any ideas? |

| | It is an old game and isn't even supported by it's original publishers (UBI) and has no official site, I have discovered this because I have tried to find a cure for the problem. from what I can gather, which doesn't mean it's official just all I can find, there is no officially supported Indeo codec for Vista, other than trying compatibility mode for the game to say Win 98 or install one of the very good Vista codec compilers available at any general utility site I can't think of anything else you could try.

| If you haven't already checked, and you're interested in Vista codecs, check out the MajorGeeks site. They have a variety of Vista codec packages that have been posted. The smaller version is the Vista Codec Package, and the larger version is the K-Lite Mega Codec package.
