I would think it would be the drivers then, although I personally have had 3 printers over the last 2 years that just refused to print anything and spat blank pages out.  a cannon a hewlett packard and a dreaded Lexmark. never did find the answer to that one!

I actually have never had issues with Lexmarks and the ink is cheaper than the rest. I have an Epson that refuses to print black though.

Read on the PC Perspective forum about an HP1215 that worked using the Vista HP Busines Jet 1220 driver. You will probably have to install it manually through Add a Printer. Unfortunately, as you probably already know, the HP site is of no help on this.

I have the same printer and have had no such problems. my recomendation is to remove any Xp drivers you have installed on the machine and just let Vista take care of it. The drivers are there, if not you will just need to point to the Vista DVD during driver discovery to reinstall them.

If you ask me a question and I dont know the answer, I'm gonna tell you that I don't know! But I know how to find the answer and I will find the answer! -: Will Smith - The Pusuit of Happiness.

I have a HP scanner and it is the only thing on my computer not recognised by  Vista.

Went to HP site - no drivers as yet so I either wait till they get their fingers out or go for  a new scanner
