I have upgraded to a new Dell D830 Latitude. On my old laptop when I turned
it on it would tell me that there were various wireless networks avalible. I
could also see these wireless networks with a program called NetStumbler.
With my new computer it does not show that there are wireless networks
avalible nor will my NetStumbler pick up any networks. I know that there are
several in my area but I cannot even see them. Can anyone help. I know that
it is a simple change that I have to make but I cannot find the location to
make this change.

On some laptops there is a switch that turns your wireless modem off and on.
