Vista is good looking software, but pretty slow. Altough my computer has no
problems running it, because there's WAY enough power to do that. BUT, some
serious issues have come up. And the most worst and annoying thing is the lag
in games, internet etc. There's this lagspike that comes every 10 to 60
seconds. When youre playing a game that needs connection to internet example
Guild Wars, it's annoying. There's no way you can play the game properly.
First this lag wasn't so bad, but it has come to a point where the whole game
disconnects from the server because lag is too long. This problem is
experienced by many people and they are as annoyid as I am. More specificly
the problem is experienced with wlan connections. I hope Microsoft quickly
fixes this major problem.

There's ofcource some programs like vista-anti lag and such, but these don't
help for most of the people experiencing this problem. And ofcourse there can
be some wlan card problems or so that making this problem. But so many peole
are having this problem, so I don't think this is just my problem. I'm
seriously hoping that Microsoft repairs this problem ASAP.

Yes, I have the same issue. I think Vista uses a lot memory. My laptop has
only 756MB. The way I make it run little faster is disabling many features
such as index. This link may have more information.

I was experiencing a very similar lag problem, and resolved it by
allowing Windows to search for and update the driver for the wireless
adapter. Funny thing was I'm using a trendndet wireless usb adapter and
the driver windows updated to was for a Marvell TOPDOG 802.11n adaptor.
Prior to updating, I was using 64 bit drivers from Trendnet. But now it
works and the lag is completely gone. You can always roll back your
driver, so it's at least worth letting windows install what it thinks is
the most compatible driver.

I still have the same issue, but I might be able to fix it. Thanks for your
