Hi all,

I have a strange situation in which I can get great wireless access to
our Netgear DG834GT router from my Vista Home Premium desktop, via
Belkin dongle, but as soon as another laptop in the house connects to
the WiFi, also running home premium, the quality of the access from
the desktop is impaired to the point of being inoperable - 95% packet
loss, roughly. This is nothing to do with bandwidth as two other
laptops and another desktop work as expected. It seems that somehow
the laptop messing with packets for the desktop.... any ideas would be
greatly appreciated!

Many thanks.

Are some of your machines running a different protocol of 802.11 protocol?
For example one machine using 802.11 G while another uses 802.11 B. Some
routers get real cranky about that.
