Post the entire 'postmaster failure to send' message.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.=20

Live.ca Settings:
Server names and ports:
POP3 = pop3.live.ca Port = 995
SMTP = smtp.live.ca Port = 587
Checkboxes you need to check include:
Server Tab: "My server requires authentication" (Click "Settings" button
also and fill in "Log on Using" email address - *** but do NOT check the
checkboxes there . . . .)
Advanced Tab: BOTH outgoing and incoming - "This server requires a secure
connection (SSL)"
General Tab (if desired but generally recommended): "Include this account
when receiving mail or synchronizing"
Should work - if you get errors post the entire error message (cut-n-paste)
for further assistance.

There is definitely something wrong with that to_joie@live.ca account,
not in your Windows Mail but on the server.
I attempted sending a test message there, but the server responded:
"550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable"
What happens when you go to http://mail.live.com and log in with
that email address and its associated password?

No, don't change your settings for Shaw mail. The setting "slk759" gave
you are for your Live.ca mail account.

Gary...it doesn't appear to be working and honestly, i'm starting to think
that this live email is more trouble than it's worth. really would have
liked to have the format for my emails, especially previewing what i have
before opening it. but i'm REALLY FRUSTRATED at this point and it's been
just one frickin day to long on this
thing. I need my emails, so i'm just going to use something else.
Thank you for the time u've spent so far.
Joie
