Hi All,
I stopped explorer.exe (unintentionally) via Task Manager, so then
tried to restart my computer. It boots to the "Welcome" screen and then
goes to a screen which says, "Configuring Updates, 3 of 3 -0%." This
screen just hangs for a minute and then my computer restarts itself and
the cycle repeats endlessly, as long as I leave my computer on.
I have tried all the F screens (F1, etc.) to run diskchecks, to
restore, to load Safe Mode, etc. Is there a way to run explorer.exe
from the command prompt?
Any ideas are more than I have! Thanks!

For future reference, under the File menu in the task manager is an option
to start a program. It's called "New Task (Run)". In your case, typing
explorer.exe in the box and hitting enter would have gotten it running
again.
