I hate to sound stupid, but are there any Windows 7 newsgroups yet? I
couldn't find one.

Well, this has been covered several times in several threads. Simply,
no, there isn't and it doesn't look like MS plans to make any, they want
to do all their support on web forums now.

The real question is whether your server carries this group. I use Aioe
(they have it) which is a free usenet server:

Then what's the point for MS server (msnews.microsoft.com) carrying
these groups?

Once a forum is created and spread to other feeds, any post to a group
serves to perpetuate it. In short, it's difficult to shut it down and easier
to let it continue. However, if Microsoft never creates Win7 newsgroups,
then there is nothing to continue. They've apparently decided (and no, there
was never any sort of announcement) to use moderated web forums for all peer
support.

To state the obvious, there isn't one and that's why these groups will
probably go away at some point.
