| HI all,
I should say first that I am a Vista Forum newbie and am also not used to the Vista operating system. I have used XP before so have knowledge of PC's and am trying to help my 13 year old niece with her Compaq CQ60.
Basically she complained that the internet had stopped working, so I just assumed it was some issue with a firewall or possibly the modem. (But on closer inspection and after doing a system restore, it seems to be something to do with one of the more recent updates.)
I found a restore point a few weeks back and it all worked fine. Then I let it check of system updates and it said there were some available. After downloading and restart I was back to square one again. PC is connecting to the modem but browser says it can't connect to the internet.
Any help would be appreciated.

| | OK - Update. Seems like it was Nortons causing the problem. Will uninstall it and see. |
