I have a problem with friend's computer. She has Windows Home Premium. Whenever she tries to start system restore the following message comes up: "system restore does not appear to be functioning correctly on this system. the volume shadow copy service used by system restore is not working. for more information view the even log. (0×81000202)". She doesn't know when it started - basically she was never been able to use system restore.

I manually started the volume shadow copy service from management console, but still getting the same error.

Please let me know if someone knows what is going on.
