Hi,

I am running on Vista Ultimate 32bit.  Yesterday when I was talking on Skype I opened up windows calendar, Skype immediately froze, everything locked and I couldn’t get out with restarting my computer.  Now all my entries in my windows calendar have gone and calendar is called Admin’s calendar (2).  Is there any way of me retrieving my lost calendar entries?

Thanks

Clues:

I have a (general systems) backup but it’s quite old (April 2009) and I don’t know if I can just restore that one file?

I’ve tried system restore twice choosing different restore points and both fail due to an unspecified error.

I’ve found what appears to be the original file in the calendars directory but when I double click on it it says something about can’t open Microsoft Outlook!!  I feel like it’s a simple matter of opening the calendar and choosing the original file or making the original file the default file but can’t see how to do that.

Thanks

PS why am I having problems pasting text into this box

More clues:

I've sorted the Outlook prob by changing the file's association from Outlook to Calendar.  When I open it, it doesn't 'open' but talks about importing the data, when I try and import the data it says (or asks) is it a valid ics file!

Soooooooooooooooo irritating

Or - can you refer me to another forum of MS help that can solve my problem?
