i am using linux operating system,in this linux ,i run windows vista through virtual box ose ,here when check my ip address in linux is in 192.--,--,-- format ,but in vista os ,it like 10.0.2.2 .....how can i change my ip into 192...series,help me to resolve my problem?

Linux is not an operating system. GNU/Linux is a kernel. You don't install kernels, you install GNU/Linux distributions, known as distros. Each of the major distros has their own forums (e.g., Ubuntu, OpenSUSE, Debian, Mint, PC Linux OS, Mandriva, etc.)

You would probably do better checking the forum for your particular distro, especially since Virtualbox is open source software and is most likely used by other GNU/Linux folks.
