I am trying to delete several movies downloaded through a file sharing network; the files are all around 700 MB and are taking up too much space. Whenever I try to delete it tells me that the destination folder access is denied. I am on my personal laptop and there are no other users. Can anyone help me delete these folders? Any help would be appreciated!

If by "file sharing" you mean torrents, can't help you there. Personally, I avoid them like the plague because it's way to easy to embed malware in something when you can't trust the source of the material.

I'm guessing that what it did was copy them to a temporary location as a byproduct of the download.

You can read our pinned post about unhiding the "real" Administrator account and try using that to delete the files.

Explore to the folder containing the files you want to delete.

On one of the files Rt click>Properties>Security>Advanced>Owner.

If you do not own the file - take ownership.

You should then be able to delete the file. Repeat for the others.
