| I have an ATAPI DVD A DH16A6S SCSI CdRom Device, and it will not burn anything. it will read discs fine, but when i go to burn using any program, the program wont even detect the drive itself, although the drive detects the disk. its weird. ive tried dozens of different programs, and all had the same problem. I dont know what to do.

| Sorry, but if you can't find and install a driver for it, you're pretty much hosed.
I ran into the same problem with a brand new $80 Plextor DVD burner. Replaced it with a $24 Samsung DVD burner, and have had no problems since.
