| | I hope someone here is dedicated to helping with Vista installs, because my problem is quite general. I had XP Pro installed, I download build 3584 from MSDN Subscriber downloads. It appeared to install fine (although it took like 2 hours), but when it boots up I get a blue screen. The first time it booted it up it appeared to start taking me through the setup proccess, like pick my time-zone and what not...then it crapped out. Now when I boot, there is a black screen with the progress bar at the bottom (don't know if that is normal); next it goes to a gray screen that says something like: Checking D: Drive Volume is clear (or good, or something like that) Checking C: Drive Volume is clear or good or whatever. It then blue screens. I am in safe mode right now while I type this, which makes me think it is crapping out loading some driver. How can I figure out which driver is the problem? I booted yesturday and had it log all the drivers, so now I've got a big file (ntbtlog.txt), but how do I make sense of it? I've been trying this on my own for the past couple of days and am now looking for some help. If someone could at least point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. System: Dell Precision 380 Pentium Dual Core 2.8 Ghz 2 Gigs of RAM Again, any help will be greatly appreciated. |
