I tried to remove IE7 using add/remove programs, it lists IE7 but does
not give a remove option, when I investigated why I found a Microsoft
article that indicated if you installed XP-SP3 after IE7 you could not
remove IE7 without removing SP3.
I do have the Google toolbar installed.
I did remove Microsoft VM using the instructions you showed in your
post, it was not listed in add/remove programs.
Also when I look at this thread I am not seeing my own posts, you can
obviously see them, why can't I ?

Your not seeing your own post?
The best way to view and use newsgroups is to use a newsreader.
Seems that everything your posting starts out in some web based on
line forum
that you are posting to using a web browser. Forums are Not
newsgroups.
Most of the popular E-mail clients also will allow you to connect to
NNTP servers.
If your using Vista OS you can use *Windows Mail* that ships with
Vista as your newsreader.
If your running XP *Outlook Express* can be used. You will have to add
a Newsgroup account in your Email client.
One account _Microsoft Communities,_ if it has not been deleted, is
already setup in your Windows OS Email client.
If you need to add Newsgroup account:
Server name: msnews.microsoft.com
click Apply click OK
If you need to add a Server Port Number, under the Advanced Tab
of properties for msnews.microsoft.com, News (NNTP): 119
click Apply click OK
Then in the folder column of your email client click the name for your
news account, it should be below your Local Folders. Then windows
will prompt: "You are not subscribed to any newsgroups, would you like
to see a list of newsgroups". Click Yes.
This will open a newsgroup window to choose newsgroups. The name of
the newsgroup your looking for in order to see your post in:
_microsoft.public.windows.vista.general_ Once you find it select it
and click on the *Go To* button near the bottom of that window.
Since your using Comcast as your ISP you will quickly be viewing the
most recent list of header for microsoft.public.windows.vista.general,
you can search for your post using you name madmike73 or by the date
of what ever.
As your leaving the newsgroup windows will prompt you: "Do you want to
subscribe to this newsgroup. Your option. Does not cost anything.
Because you may be new to newsgroup here are some links to useful
Information
you should read, no particular order. Be sure to read them.

In Vista, you can't remove IE7 because, unlike with XP, it's not an add-on; it's integrated into the OS. If you're asking about XP, you're in the wrong place -- this is a Vista forum, not an XP forum.

Have you tried refreshing the browser after your post? How soon after a post are you looking for it?

| I think ff will always be ahead of IE, personally I don't like IE, and ff is used by my every so often, my personal favorite is Google Chrome, it is more spacious, what I mean by that is at the top instead of all these "extensions" it has just an address bar and your tabs, which is stock, you can also customize is just like in ff, but all of my tools and "extensions" go into the windows sidebar, or gadgets as they call them.
