I have some problems with my sound card driver ... on vista x32

I cannot install my sound card driver:

1. i have Realteck AC '97 ... i don't know my motherboard
2. when i try to install the driver i get from windows:

Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software
-> Don't install this driver software
-> Install this driver software anyway

every time i click on "Install this driver software anyway" nothing happens ... i just keep getting this message ....
but if i click on "Don't install this driver software" the install is canceld

how can i install my sound card?????????? (

Really you need to identify your motherboard to make sure you are downloading the correct AC97 drivers, is this a 'brand' PC or an individual build ?

Please visit this page http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads9.html  and download Belarc Advisor, install it and run then post the page back here either in a post or as an attachment, this will tell us everything we need to know about your system and exactly which codec chip you have in your system and what other components there are that may be causing a problem.

From those details, which unfortunately not specific enough (not your fault) it comes down to your board being one of several in the 945 Neo2 range, all of which carry the same codec chip if they are Intel boards, so this should be the driver page you need,

try this AC97 driver, see what happens.

The driver I suggested was only 'best guess' since the information wasn't sufficiently clear and could have been any one of several boards that MSI make, if you know the exact make and model number of your board I might be able to get a more definate fix, then if that correct driver fails we can start looking at areas which might be causing the problems. The most obvious one being to make sure the chip is enabled in BIOS.
