| So far this update has downloaded and installed itself successfully 11
times. It has never required a reboot. I gather that this particular
update is to correct problems which might be preventing the update to SP1
and that SP1 will not be available through Update until these problems are
corrected. Every time I check for updates, this one is still there and will
once again download and install! Help!!

| You need to read over the "Repairing Windows Update" pinned post we have in the Technical Support forum. Sounds like your Windows Update catalog got corrupted and it is now unable to register that you've completed an update.
