I have a new computer that came with Vista Home Premium. Aero works wonderful, however, I do have one piece of software that shuts down Aero when it starts. The software is GeoVision (A surveillance program that utilizes cameras). It is something I need to have running all the time.

Is there any way possible I can "force" Aero to run with this software? I think it is possible because one time when I rebooted, they both did work. Although that was the only time they both worked together.

Any help, or to be pointed in the right direction would be most appreciated.

Oh, I did contact GeoVision and they were of no help. I asked if their software was compatible with Aero and they couldn't understand why i wanted to do that (groan).

Thanks again for any assistance!

In a word - no. This is software that was obviously NOT written for Vista. You could try various compatibility mode options, but there is no way to "force" Aero to work.

Plus, please post Video-related questions in the Video forum.

Will be moving this post there.

This really isn't a video related question, per say. It is about software that isn't compatible with Aero and trying to make it work with Aero. I do understand however your moving it.
